i found somebody's blog yesterday and honestly, some people really think damn highly of themselves. i noe ppl are supposed to have confidence in themselves and not haf low self esteem but that was a tad on the arrogant side. I found out yesterday that in "light of the tsunami", they would not be screening the countdown tonight. instead they would b screening the movie "one fine day". Hello?? Would screening the movie actually alleviate the damn problem?NO! Trying and pretending to understand the problem when you dun actually do does not help damnit.

Today is the last day of 2004 but honestly, it feels like any normal day. Everyday seems the same actually so it does not make a difference. Went to singtel to change hp plan to ioneplus. yay! i haf free incoming all day and 500 free sms starting next wed. i think my mom finally relented cuz of the much more free sms.

I cant wait for sat. The girls are coming over and we would probably be eating, hanging out, tv and liana wants to bake sthng, and im gonna force u ppl to eat most of my chocolates at home! wakhahka!

Sliced Double Choc caramel
Ingredients:
200g packet plain chocolate biscuits (its okay if its with choc cream)
1/2 cup dessicated coconut (kelapa parut)
200g butter, melted
150g milk choc, melted
2 bsp vegetable oil

Filling
395g condensed milk
60g butter
2 tbsp golden syrup

Grease a 19 x 20 cm rect pan, line with baking paper, extending paper 2cm over edge of a pan (actually u can use any pan u like,it doesnt matter. just tat it will either cause the caramel to be thick or thin. Make sure u grease the paper properly. The caramel will stick to the paper if u dun. Den u can eat the paper..heh)
Process biscuit until finely crushed. Add coconut and butter, process until combined. Press over base of prepared pan. Cover, refrigerate while preparing filling.
Combine all ingredients for filling in a pan; whisk over a low fire until butter melts. Simmer, whisking constantly for about 8 mins or until mixture thickens and turns golden brown. Pour filling over prepared biscuit base.
Bake in a 180 C oven for about 10 mins, or untik firm.
Spread combined warm melted choc and oil over filling in pan, refrigerate until set. Cut into squares and serve.

The above is the recipe for the choc layer thingy u ppl saw several days ago on my blog. Have fun. This is yet another idiot-proof recipe and its super simple.

Anyway today we went out to an employment agency for an interview. But it wasnt actually an interview, just tat she told us where she is going to send our resume and hopefully we would get the job. Khairun and I got the town one(at the CPF building at tanjong pagar). We are like customer service officers, and answer phone calls. Sya and liana got the MacPherson one, and do some clerical/admin job, im not sure. Just hope this would be the last interview. Im so sick of looking for jobs. And the pay is not bad. $5 per hour. And we had some typing test just now, and i typed really slow.. Pretty horrible, 39 words per min, and only abt 51% accuracy. oh well. And now i just rejected a relief teaching job at greenwood pri! aargh! damn it!

I finally bought my halter top! it was on 50% sale yesterday. Khairun calls it apron. Come to think of it, it does look like one. oh well... And today i bought another black top, a sort of racer back, with the words in bright pink "feels so good". good. that makes me feel better

okay. i just came back from watching phantom at great world city. That show was pretty good. i kinda expected the show to be pretty lame, but nah, it was quite good. I still find moulin rouge better than this. cuz
1) there's too much singing and
2) there's too little talking. u hafta listen properly to know wat they are talking abt. and most of wat they are singing dun rhyme. but then, like wat my sis said, its a musical, not a play.

Even though im not the arty-farty type to appreciate the beauty of it, its still a pretty good show to watch. There's no cute guys by the way. The lead singer/actress is quite pretty. She looks familiar but i dunno where ive seen her. ( i lurve her star earrings when she wore during her first performance..)Oh ya.. and the song that sly sang during the stage and screen is a very nice song. and he did no justice singing it. he made it sound horrible. Me and dila were snickering throughout the song thinking abt how sly sang. I still love the theme song. First heard that song in chem class in sec 3 or 4. But it was the chem version, and the dumb lyrics and interesting tune actually caused me to like it. cool.

After movies, we went arnd paragon and taka, and dila bought nw jeans. yay! new addition to her wardrobe means new addition to my SIDE wardrobe. good.And we are probably gg to watch Meet the Fockers if she doesnt haf any plans for tmr. its NC16! hah! im gonna flash my ic to them and say HAH! im 18 and my sis is 16! hah! its pretty childish, but then, its the cheap thrills of life.

i think im too ambitious. i take back what i said about wanting to e mail u ppl the photos. im goddamn lazy! too bad! hahaha! u wont get your photos. okay. just kidding. ill save it into cds and give it to u ppl. in the meanwhile, wait. i have to buy the cds and to buy them, i need money. and to get money, i hafta work. and to work, i need to FIND one. so thats the whole story. if i dun get a job, means no photos for u ppl! hahah!!! im evil. i love it! hah!

oh ya. im gonna watch phantom of the opera with my sister tmr. yay! i have a class chalet, but then, i need to pray. its very leceh, and some of my classmates akan membawa minuman keras. Saya rasa saya tidak patut pergi ke tempat2 begini. Its a choice. Family or frens. Its obvious isnt it? Ive had several bad experieces abt gg to chalets and all. i shall not go o be ignored or feel left out. *relieved* And i think i sound weird writing in malay. sheesh. But wat to do. Saya tidak ingin classmates saya membacanya.. (eeyuck.. horrible malay)

MOTAS(Mystery of Time and Space) is like the best game ever. Its like better than viridian room, crimson room and blue chamber put together. I mean i wouldnt be able to get thru all13 levels by myself. Its totally crap. Even with the walkthrough, the game is still fun, without the frustration of having to find stuff. Its like following instructions and just open up to new rooms and stuff. Play it.. but only play it if u have like a lot of time to spare. go to www.nordinho.com for more games. This is a totally fab game. Okay thn. i shall play the garfield game, which according to sya, is like MOTAS. and hopefully i can find the game Myst. Its supposed to be fun, but was only available on Cd-ROMs. i had tat cd but my comp is incompatible.
ANd i jus got back from causeway pt, cuz i was supposed to go for walk in at ice lemon tea and charles & keith. And guess wad? sales assistant must be able to converse in mandarin and english.hello? Stupid asshole of a shop. Did only think only chinese ppl visit those stupid shops? damn it.

seems like ive been doing lots of rejection nowadays. Firstly, i rejected the promoting job at the advertising firm. Then i rejected the swensens job at parkway cuz its too far and the night shift finish late. seriously, i dun care. but my mom was making so much noise. Then, i just received a call frm marsiling sec, asking me to teach malay.Guess wad dayah the smart ass did? yeah, rejected the job. cuz her malay is really horrible. i never learn from my lessons. Im such a choosy brat! But i dun want these kids to fail their malay cuz of me.urgh. life sucks.
i wanna work at giordano. i wanna work at swensen. i wanna work at anywhere in causeway pt.
but no, they refuse to accept me! damn it. no vacancies. blah blah. evil ppl..

Im so damn sick of looking for a job. i hate looking for a job. yesterday, while mash was telling us about her colleagues, i realised that we(or maybe just me) are such pampered lil girls. i mean there's so much out there that we are not exposed to. Im just this girl, who is completely safe and clueless about so many things outside my own world. I wanna go back to school. I cant believe im saying this, but im having doubts about my abilities to support myself for life later on, and school is just this safe 'haven' thing that you would know what would happen next and so on. Ill die if sombody just throw me out onto the streets for me to live. Im just hoping ill get the stupid job. i dun want to go for any more interviews. I dun want to keep calling up offices and asking 'i saw ur ad in the recruit section. i was wondering what the job is about?" or " do you have any job vacancies?" im so bored! I just hope that the interview im gg for does not have shifts that finish super late. Damn. And no mats or minahs. i could probably stand minahs but NO MATS! Ill die! I should have just applied at deli and taken that stupid job. I mean im just working for experience, not to earn a living anyway.aargh!!

I want to have a driving license, but that thing is goddamn expensive. SOme more need a car to travel around. Sheesh. WHy cant they be cheaper???

Forget it. i should be thankful. Im thankful i have a room, a house and somewhere i call home that i can go to every night and feel safe in. Im thankful im in a pretty safe environment where i dun have to fight(not literally) to live. Im thankful i have family and friends to love and care for me. Im thankful i have ice cream and all nice stuff to eat everyday. Im thankful im alive. Amin ya rabbal alamin.

BUT why does everything have to be so expensive??????haha.

I wanna thank hafie for the lovely compilation of TAUFIK BATISAH'S songs!! Thanks thanks thanks! its gonna be my companion for the next month, i can bet. its not like i have any other cds anyway. And i realised that taufik singing in that high voice ( i think its called falsetto) sounds very weird. HE sounds like a girl..oh well..since he has a real nice voice, its forgiven... :P hah. ~its a marvellous night for a moondance with the stars up above in your eyes~

So much for a budget outing today. Went to the airport to eat at popeyes. Short to say, the food was sort of dissappointing. I expected something of better standard. I shall not say anything about me being sort of rude to the cashier. (i was not rude okay..) Oh well, then we went to Sya's hse to watch puteri gunung ledang. That story was so damn boring! It just dragged on!

Okay ppl. im sorry i forgot to bring that chocolate thingy today. Ill bring tmr. WHo ever is with me will get it, if not, ill just bake again. no biggie. its easy.

i just baked the most fabulous thing on earth. Okay, im self praising. heh. Its a triple layer thing. The base is chocolate biscuit, 2nd is a layer which taste like caramel, only sweeter and the top is this layer of melted and then hardened van houten chocolate. Strictly for sweet tooth only. Non-sweet toother should not take more than 1 cm by 1cm portion in case of sugar overload. Its really yummy(im praising myself again..) but its really sweet and i feel really guilty for eating so much of it. here's what it looks like:

I think its amazing that when i do not have money, i always know what to shop for and when i actually do have money, i dont know what to buy. I went shopping for clothes with dila today and we managed to get 2 pants and a blouse for a grand total of less than $100. I think that's a pretty good deal. I think i need to start shopping for proper clothes instead of just my usual tee and jeans. True they may be essential, but i still need proper clothes right? rigghhtt.. Oh well, when the time comes, i have to make sure i have a secret supply of money whenever i go shopping. (yeah right..)

Oh ya. I just realised that we dont take enough pictures of singapore. Like the other day, we were at clarke quay and that place was a pretty good scenery so there i was snapping pictures here and there like some gawking tourist. Maybe I shall do that one day. Like what we were contemplating that day. pretend to be tourist for a day, complete with the "i love singapore" tee shirt, and those hats Japanese tourists always wear and camera round our necks. i haven uploaded most of the photos yet, so sorry. but that fotopages.com is really slow and my comp always hangs when it starts to upload pictures. i think it would be better for me to save it into CDs and give it or lend it to u ppl k..

i hate looking for jobs! its so damn difficult!! Why cant money just fall to my lap just like that? yeah right. Fat hope. Sheesh. We went to this marketing advertising agency yesterday, and supposedly got interviewed by the manager. i think tat guy was sort of desperate of people working for him. And anyway, we found out that the job is sort of promoting sthng. I mean he din really spit tat out but yeah, anybody could have guessed it. But the pay is damn good. about 60 bucks per day. wohoo. gotta think about it man. Seiyu pays very little. $4 per hour, and that includes working during weekends. Sheesh. Sort of like the metro job sal rejected. Delifrance pays even less. $3.50 per hour. Sya and Liana were saying sthng about labour exploitation. Whatever that means.oh well, we are so choosy..

Yesterday's mcs farewell was just like a normal outing. I think last yr's jk, i meant our batch, did a MUCH BETTER job at it than this year's. The food was okay, it was all bbq food so they all tasted the same. :) Each of us got this board thingy with our names and on the other side was signed by the rest of the mcs ppl.right.i mean some of the mcs ppl. i dunno why i cried or got all so worked up about TAT matter. Whatever. So everyone saw me cry. SO everyone saw my temper. So wat. *cha ching* erase everything. Anyway, had to take a taxi home. Fourteen bucks! aargh! cuz it was too late at night. Damnit.

Tmr is the training for the marketing job. i dun feel like gg, but then, i think ill just go for it. if i dun like it, ill just tell tat guy. sigghhh.. i want money. i wanna go shopping. ive got alot of things to buy.

okay all you people out there. if u want any of the digi photos, and its too small or whatsoever from mypicgallery, just msg me and ill e mail or send it thru msn.

Finally we are gg out on monday! Probably gg cycling, having a potluck picnic and then swimming at hafie hse. sigh.. life.. how much better could it get? (erm.. probably better) but anything is better than nothing even though ive been meaning to clean up my room and the books in the cupboards.

Im gg to watch shutter again today with my sister and cousins. Oh well, i dun actually mind watching tat show again. at the very least, i can anticipate the scary parts.

I cant believe i missed watching taufik on ikhlas yesterday, just to hear 5 horrible singers at my mom's hari raya nite. It was so horribly boring! And the only nice part was the Durba 2, with their super juara, and 2 horrible karuts! I mean wayy horrible,up to the standard of our tj guys as karut. or maybe worse. Eugh.. They dragged the damn karut yengki and kelantan for like ten million lines, and they din even do matang! FUll of crap arh. and the malay dancers frm bukit view sec were horrible. Firstly, they had the stupid minah fringe, with most of them din even bother spraying with hair spray, so it was swishing all over their faces(tangkap jambu arh tu..). and they were looking at the floor instead of in front. For goodness sake, the audience are in front, not on the floor. And smile to the audience, not to urself. slenger. And finally, they are lembik, instead of lembut! i swear ive seen better dancers in my life. And they had disgusting colour combi. Green and orange. Pumpkins, i swear. All those minahs dere kept staring at me and my sister. For goodness sake, its a hari raya gathering. obviously we have to wear baju raya. Cocok mata baru tau.

Food was great though. It was of wayy better standard than wat we were givn at Grad Nite. i could just stay by the buffet stand and eat all night.. right. Oh well, we missed taufik's malay performance, but we caught his "I dream" one. Me and dila we clearing up the place and we ran all the way to the tv to catch his dreamy voice. Some makcik dere had to spoil it by first, kept moving abt so that she kept blocking the tv frm me and commenting some stupid shit abt him. i forgot wat she said anyway.. oh ya! this kuih tat was the best ive ever tasted. it like melts in ur mouth. yummy!

Grad nite was such a great disappointment!!! We were so excited for grad nite since the day we paid for the tickets and it turned out to be such a letdown! I cant believe i paid 85 bucks for that. I cant believe missed America's Next Top Model for the Prom King, Prom QUeen pageant. The food sucked. The mee goreng was super sweet, so was the dessert. This vege thingy was too bland and tasted real horrible. I think the only nice food was the samosa and popiah, the baked chicken thingy and the satay prawns(which tasted nicer without the stupid horrible tasting satay sauce).

3pm: Arrived at pan pac, met mar who was on the way to get her make up done. then met firah. went to room and kept 'wow'ing at everything in the room.We stayed on the 29th floor! and our ears kept getting blocked wen we went up the elevator. The view from the elevator was not bad..
3-4plus: kept gg up and down to fetch people up, cuz the lift needs the room card to be activated. Watched MTV, and shar and zaf kept getting excited abt the "tempted to touch" music video..
5pm: Prayed asar and started getting ready. Sya's aunt came to make up for her. She was using like ten million different kinds of foundation on sya's face, and they all looked the same to me. Zaf was making up for Shar, Nat was making up for hafie, Amal/Sal did it for firah, and somebody(im not sure) did it for Khairun. Only some of us bathed before getting ready and we kept pestering each other to get out of the toilet quickly..
6pm: Me and mash were making up in front of the mirror right in front of the toilet. Mash discovered that her face was too white and was trying to "unwhiten" her face. I forgot i had a bronzer.*whoops*
6.30pm: mash applied liquid eye liner for me in the toilet. Took pretty long cuz it was uneven. N2f and khairun was the 'judge' for the amt of eye liner, and whether it was even or not. Mash's make up was pretty much natural and couldnt see anythng so she used some other darker colours. Applied for n2f eyeliner in the toilet.
7pm: Finished make up, straightened fringe and did a simple hairdo,prayed and wore dress. Took some photos while the rest were still getting ready.
7.25pm: shooed everyone out of the room and went down. Nat, shar, firah and hafie went to Ritz by nat's dad's car. The rest of us split into 2 taxis. The taxi driver was looing at us and said "are u sure ritx carlton? its just opp the road" yeah. reached Ritz in like 3 mins. Me and sya took photo at the big christmas tree while waiting for the other taxi to arrive. Oh ya, kept tripping over my skirt, and people kept stepping on it.
7.40pm: nat, hafie,firah and shar finally arrives. Nat's dad brought them to the carlton instead of ritz. Teachers kept perstering us to go in but me and n2f waited for them since their tix was with me.
8.30pm onwards: dinner(8 course meals,which sucked), there was one table game in between the course, Prom Queen and King nomination, finalists, 'hunk" parade, and alot of photo taking. Oh ya..took photo with my photo partner (jas) for the last time this year. The toilet was great. So damn clean(duh!), and quite pretty. Tripped over skirt for the 100th time. Guess who was prom QUeen? The pretty girl from sya's class, i thnk her name is peishan. Guess who was prom king? fahmi. surprised? Oh ya, took photo with zub and her dress, which she sewed by herself. Wayy cool.
12am: Dance. But most people din dance, xcept for the malay guys, and some chinese ppl, and mash, nat and shar. ME and hafie went in front to take photos of them dancing but got pulled onto dance floor. They got bored of dancing, and mash went out of the ballroom frustrated cuz nobody was dancing, and her grad nite was ruined. took more grp photos at the stairs and christmas tree while waiting for nat's dad to fetch her. Tripped over skirt for the milionth time, and decided to lift up skirt so it becomes a knee length skirt. Bag and camera was carried by hafie, flower by n2f, and sya was like "just concentrate on your train and not tripping."

1am: went to pan pac, put down some stuff, sya and firah changed, and firah packed bag to go home. Took individual pictures in the room cuz we discovered we din have one.
1.20am: walked to esplanade, got lost abit cuz we went round, went to 7 eleven. Met zub and the sc at the esplanade. Zub was asking whether we were lost. tsk tsk. We played spin the bottle/truth and dare, but its like only the truth and confessions and stories and everything. There was a couple making out in front of us! disgusting ppl! den we met Hafi ariffin and her class dere.
2.40am: walked off from esplanade, met firah's dad on the way, and then went to 7 eleven to buy biscuits and what nots.
3am: reached hotel, started to clean make up gunk from face, washed hair, face, brush teeth, prayed isyak, changed into night wear.The stupid air con was damn cold!! My teeth were chattering and mash was like 'ur really cold arent u?"
4am: Shar and mash came back from the club. went down with sya to fetch them, and then watched "Never been Kissed" on vcd. I still cant get over how slenger Drew Barrymore is in that show. urgh. slept for like 15 mins towards the end of the show.
5.30am: woke up when show ended, waited for subuh.
6am: finally we slept, i was sandwichd bwn liana and khairun and sya was at our feet.
8am: Woke up. Couldnt sleep even though i was super sleepy. So i started walking around the room, packed my bag, brushed teeth, watched tv and ate chocs, and went to bed and lie down for a while. Shar went off slightly after 9am and sal came at abt 9.30am to collect her stuff. Most of the girls went to bath and i was determined to bathe at 10am, no later or earlier.
10.30am: went for breakfast at Burger King at millenia walk, and talked after tt..
12.30pm: went home in taxi with dila and mama.

People, we shall all get together soon k.. i din realise this but after grad nite, we dun seem to have anyhting to do together.. We have to get togetheR! at least once a month or sthng. Im gonna miss u guys! I cant upload all the photos cuz there are like 70 photos. ill choose the photos and if u ppl want anythin, ill burn all pictures of our TJ life at the end of this yr. See u guys soon! Shar, u better update ur blog okay! we are like probably not gonna see u for a long time and ur blog is our only way of knowing ur ok. if u dun update, im calling the police. heh..

[edit] Damn it! i just looked at all my grad nite photos. so horrible!! i should have looked at every photo after i took, but no.. i had to conserve battery. aargh! my tummy is showing!!!! oh gosh. this is a good lesson. Never take your bust measurement when ur wearing a sports bra! i should have stood up straight! aargh! y din i listen to people???!!!!

Okay.. Apparently I cant update my blog entry tonight, so im actually writing or actually typing this entry in microsoft words before I lose my muse. Eugh, damn it.

TAUFIK WON! TAUFIK WON! TAUFIK WON! TAUFIK WON! TAUFIK WON! Yay!!!!!!! So damn proud of him! That guy with real nice voice! When I first saw Taufik on idol, I din really like his image but loved his voice. That guy who would be representing us in world idol. At the very least, we Singaporeans wont be embarrassed by someone who cant pronounce words properly. At the very least, Asians wont be perceived as single eyelid, yellow skin and Chinese looking. Im so damn sick of us Asians being perceived as such people. Hello.There are other races in Asia also wat… Okay im gg on and on abt this but I cant help it. Anyway, back to Taufik. Me and Dila voted about 20 times each. My mom voted 10 times. She forced my sister, who refused to vote because she was afraid of jinxing him. Can u believe it? My mom! (oh well. Actually I think u ppl can believe my mom would do such stuff..) When gurmit announced the winner, my mom actually screamed.. Can u believe that?

I have been gg for jln raya for the past few days. Sleeping at 12 or 1 in the morning and waking up at 6.30 so that I wont be late for raya. Wow. Just for raya.. The TJ jln raya was okay.. I ate too much, as usual. Blah blah.. We went to Khairun’s hse at 9 and stayed until abt 11. Watched “The Face” while waiting for the rest, and screamed our heads off for fun and kept pestering Khairun to be a good host. Talk about being a bad host. I din bother talking to the guys, or actually most people, wen they came to my hse. My mom did most of the talking. Big surprise. I dun bother. :P 2nd day of raya was okay I guess. Not as many ppl turned up. We could have completed early if not for those houses which we could only visit at night. We ended up hanging out at Shar’s hse, and most of us actually slept.

Grad nite is coming real soon. My trauma: HAIR. I have no idea what to do with my hair. Gosh. Somebody help me. By the way, what happened to our plan of vandalism? I thought it was set tat we should do that after As..

Oi nat! How come you always have awful pictures of me? Like real awful seyy.. And some of ur raya photos are real shaky.. Shaky hands arh?? :P
