My mom made me, my sis and my dad hantar kuih to my nenek's and my aunt's hse today. That's fine with me. Then she made me wear baju kurung!! Sooo kental! The three of us were complaining and arguing with her, but as usual.. Mothers always have the final say. And plus, she wasn't going out with us to share the embarassment because she's sick.. Bah! Anyway that was besides the point..
Firstly we went to my grandma's house. I never realised how random and sajerr her comments were! Okay, cuz most of the time, we don't understand what both my grandparents were talking since they talk in boyan half the time. My sis and I went to the kitchen and there was an aquarium with 7 lobsters and a trillion fishes (which were the lobsters' fresh buffet meal).
Zoid: Nek, ni udang apa? *pointing to the lobsters* (grandma, what type of prawns are these?)
Nenek: Alah.. yang udang besar-besar tu.. (Those big ones.. )
Zoid&Me: Ohhh... Lobster!
Nenek: Ahh ah.. Apa ster tu lah.. (Yahh... those what-ster)
And then while eating we got to the topic of birthdates and time and her wedding and her age.. blah blah.. My sis was asking if she knew what time and dates her children were born. We were surprised that she could remember everybody's!! Considering that she's 76 years old! She could even rmbr the days they were born, month, and time! And she could even remember ours!
Nenek: Kalau tanya toknya, dia tak tau pasal dia orang bunian.
My nenek is soo sajer calling her husband org bunian!! I think it's a guy thing also. My dad cant rmbr when my sis and I are born. Even my grandma knows which hospital I was born. sheesh. At the start of this year, my dad thought I was 21 years old.
Then she said that if she married my grandpa(who was 26yrs old) at 13 years old! (bloody young!) My sis asked how she and my grandpa met. [Seriously, tts considered paedophilia!!! ]hahaha.
Nenek: Kalau nenek jumpa tok ayah (we call my grandpa tok ayah), nenek takkan kahwin dgn dia.
Bagus lah tu. Dun wanna marry him, but still got 8 children!
Anyway my dad allowed me to drive to my aunt's house, where we were greeted by a member of Jemaah Islamiyah, who, after her final touches in her get-up, became an Abu Sayyaf member. Sheesh! I wish I could put up a picture of her! Oh, to add to it, she has multiple personality disorder! One minute she's a bloody terrorist (make peace, not war), the next she's this umi character (all zen and calm it's eerie), and the next is her noisy self.
Kak tea baked this really nice choc fudge cake! i love the frosting alot! And I was bugging her about the places she bought her cupcakes decor stuff. I really need to go buy edible cupcakes decor!
When we meet, we dont talk like normal people. We scream at each other. Literally! I guess my dad and abg fahmy got used to us screaming to one another and they just filter us out as white noise. I dont know how my dad stands it at Sarawak cuz we scream all the time, even in the van. The only time it's quiet is when we're asleep. Actually sometimes my dad tells us to laugh softly ,or stop screaming, but as usual. Who listens???? And we have the worst reactions to everything! Beyond buruk faces, that none of my friends have ever seen it, nor will they ever see. I<3 my family!

Random Thoughts:
1) My parents are hooked on Full House. hah! And they were watching it till abt 9pm just now but cant be bothered to change disc.
2) I cant stop sniffing my arms cuz they smell like candy canes. I wished I bought the entire Twisted Peppermint line, and another tub of the scrub. Hey! It rhymes!
3) I hate it that school's starting very soon, which means that my TP test is coming up, and now look what Ive done??? Im getting an anxiety attack again. Bah!
4) Ive been looking thru my '06 digi picts folder. I cant believe at this time last year, we were practicing for our Aloha dikir performance.. Last year's dec holiday was more fulfilling than this year's. And I cant believe how much uni has caused us, or at least, me to age.
5) Im sniffing my fingers for the hundreth time now for remnants of candy cane scent
6) I've never really understood why people added soooo many contacts on msn. especially when you hardly talk to tt person in class. or worse still, elective and the probability of you meeting again is highly unlikely. bahh. Fine. Im socially retarded and these are highly sociable people.
7) I cant resist not sitting at my study table and switching on my laptop for even a day.
8) I cant get over the fact tt Im a bloody spendthrift and Im broke!
9) Im addicted to this really merepek socially unacceptable song. n2f knows the song. not like its soo nice to listen to. its funny!
10) Im getting bitchier by the day. And speaking faster than I can think of the consequences. The effects of my words only hit me 1 or 2 days later. So Im sorry to anybody Ive hurt with my words. Yah I know this is highly insincere but I cant rmbr or know who Ive hurt. I dont think much nowadays.
11) Im losing my abilities to speak coherently or forming proper sentences. Im stammering half the time because I cant think fast. Its ironic that I can make bitchy comments quickly but not speak normally. I think its because of msn! I dont talk to people face2face anymore! precisely why im socially retarded.
12) My eyes hurt, and everytime i rub them i get a whiff of my candy cane scent.
13) I need a new backpack because mine is koyak rabak but I refuse to get one because Im a freaking cerewet person. And I need a new sling bag because my koyak-rabak-macam-pengemis-mana-&-sarang-tikus one has long been sent to the incinerator or buried at the dumping ground.

Went out today to go to the MNG sale. It was really boring!! Bleahhh.. And den walked around Marina Square. I had my sugar fix for the day! I swear I think Im addicted to chocolate! I had chocolate withdrawal syndrome, so I had to replace it with the hugest cotton candy Ive ever seen in the world!!! And now Im suffering from cotton candy windrawal syndrome!! I want cotton candy!! My fren said it got me so high that I was talking at top speed, but I dont think so. Maybe she's just getting slower for her age. haha!
Met Kak Nash and her bestie just now at City Link. Sempat we babble in whatever Korean words we could rmbr! Im sure my friends were horrified at our exchange of the language of the 'socially unacceptable'.
I tink Im getting all addicted to Sweet Talk again. Talk about terrible addiction! I kept buying at least 1 cup of ice blend from Sweet Talk everyday. Not good! Definitely not good! School's reopening soon, and nobody is gonna recognise me cuz Ive put on sooo much weight! Bleah! Oh no!! School's reopening. That sucks soo bad. Sheesh!
And now Ive ran out of Korean shows to watch, after Ive finished watching Full House. My internet's going bonkers nowadays so I cant finish watching my 1 litre of tears. Khairun!! lend me ur vcd!
Ive yet to accomplish what I want to do during this holiday! Sheesh! At least Ive got 4 new tops for the new sem, plus a new sweater. Oh big fat hairy deal.

I seriously need to buy a belt for this outfit.. This belt totally don't match!

I have an absolute weakness for this kind of tees! Those that look like double layer but they are not. And the good thing? L.P Zone has alot of those! but i have no $$ so i shall leave it to my mom to buy them..

This is my absolute favourite top!! And I cant belive this and the Angel tee are kids' size. The kids in US are huge man!!!
Im just waiting for this to arrive in 2-3 days time! Whee!!! Im gonna smell like a candy cane!

IM BACK!!
Honestly, Sarawak truly exceeded my expectations. I really expected it to be somewhat like a cross between Bangkok and J.B but, we were sooo wrong. Words cannot fully justify the places that Ive visited and my not-exactly-so-good photography skills just doesnt give the place any credit. I really didnt expect to enjoy myself fully there. Come on! Even our hotel was the coolest hotel Ive ever been to! This trip has been more of an adventure trip, rather than a shopping trip, but thats cool. Not to mention, the abundance of eye candies there! hahaha! Its like a cute guy galore! no, slash that. Like a buffet dining.. Wohoo! Tak sia-sia kita pergi Sarawak! ANW, Ive gone too far ahead of my actual entry. Ill let the pictures do the talking then!
13/13/06

View from the plane, plus a surprise birthday celebration in the plane for kak meal.WE were embarassed instead of her cuz my mom made US sing bdae song for her!

Our Family Suite. SO FREAKING COOL. and this is only the first level. There's stars and moon on the floor!

The top left hand is our suite. soo huge! the bottom ones are just the other suites, with the mountain in the background if u can see it.

Our hotel is situated somewhere near Mt Santubong. The mountain looks different everyday! With all the mist and clouds and all, its so damn cool. We couldnt stop snapping pictures of the mountain!
Mountains again!!!

Night shopping in town, which is a 45 minutes van ride from our hotel, becuase our hotel is at some ulu part, which is sooo far away from the city area, so there's no way for us to jln2 by ourselves. thats the only part that sux!
14/12/06

We went out of our room 'early' to catch the sunrise, but the sun has already risen! bleah.
LOVE THE MISTY EFFECTS!! gorgeous view man!

Our first stop: Cat Museum. well, the place IS called Kuching for a reason.

View of the city from the top! Beyond the horizon is Mt Serapi, the highest mountain in Sarawak.

2nd Stop: Cave Exploration at Wind Cave. 3rd picture is a picture of a bird's nest with tiny tiny eggs. They were soo tiny they look like cadbury chocolate eggs. And yeap. the bird's nest is the nest that people make Bird's nest drink. wayy coool!

The top pictures are cocoa beans and the tree. The bottom ones are pepper seeds. Apparently black pepper and white pepper come from the same tree. The peppercorns are dried in the sun, and turn black, which gives u black pepper. When the black part is shelled, it becomes white pepper. How's that for general knowledge????

3rd stop: Fairy Cave. The cave's made of chalk, and for u geog students out there who can appreciate nature's beauty, this is for u guys. The exterior of the cave's soooo white, they look like macaroon! it didnt help tat all of us were so hungry we felt like biting into the cave! Thats our tour guide/driver beside my dad.
The rocks look like humans and animals that they were damn freaky. The top one is a rock that looks like a mother carrying a baby. There was a legend/myth that the people of the village were turned into stones by a sorcerer.

4th stop: Tasik Biru. And that's our reflection in the arsenic filled water!
15/12/06
1st stop: Crocodile farm, plus other animals. It was pretty boring, but for RM4, it wasnt that bad.
My mom and her obsession with fruits.
2nd stop: Bidayuh Longhouse. At first I thought it was some sort of like a cultural museum thing, but its a real longhouse. Some sort of a kampung, but real! With people still living in the houses and all. Bidayuh is one of the 7 tribes of Sarawak. They have this communal hut, where they carry out they offerings and sacrificial ceremonies. There were skulls hung around the hut. Apparently, those skulls were those of their enemies, placed there for luck.

3rd stop: Some pottery place. We tried our hands at pottery! Serioously, its not as easy as it looks, and its very messy!

4th stop: Mangrove Boat Ride along the Sarawak River. Rmbr in the earlier photos, there was a meandering river. This is the river. Geog txbks just dont do them any justice. Ive never expected a meander to be so huge! My sister was pointing out some geog stuff, and I was desperately trying to rmbr what I learned before, but as usual, my memory failed me!

The view from the boat. I love sunsets!

I duno if u can see that's a crocodile, lurking behind those mangrove trees. It's eyeing a temakul fish in front of it. In the dark, when u shine torch light on the croc, its eyes would glow red, some sort of those orange blinkies when u press the flash on ur camera. We were so freaked out about finding out there were crocs in the river that we were suddenly damn quiet. I think the guide sensed that and he told us that these crocs only eat vege, and we totally believed him. Since when are crocs vegetarians anyway?? After that we got to see fireflies. So damn gorgeous man! Its like a natural christmas trees! In addition to the abundant sprinkles of diamond-like stars across the sky.. WAHH! All the mosquito bites I got from this trip was soo worth the view! Its amazing that we find joy in seeing such simple things.
16/12/06
1st stop: Sarawak Cultural Museum, at the foot of Mt Santubong

We visited the 7 different types of longhouses. Actually although they look different on the outside, most of them are similar on the inside, with the same type of 'stairs'.OOH! we got to try using the blowpipes! SO FUN!

2nd stop: Sunday market, which starts at 3pm on saturday. We thought it was gonna be some sort of those bargain markets, but its a real Market. I was really impressed by the neatness and cleanliness of the market! Seriously! it even beats geylang, or bedok market or somethng!

On the way back to our resort, our driver stopped and allowed us to take sunset photos!

We played beach volley at abt 645pm till it got dark. Well, not so much played cuz 3/4 of the time we were running after the ball. Dilz and I had our warrior dance and Kak meal and kak nash had their ultra gay+bimbotic warrior dance. oh kentalness! Then we decided to make sand sculptures, while being bitten by sandflies! bloody sandflies!
Im gonna miss the ultra long trips from one place to another, even though I got damn tanned jsut by sitting beside the window. Adakah patut..ish! And im gonna miss our merepekness in the hotel room. We played all sorts of games, ranging from cardgames, to charades, and babbling in the miniscule amount of korean vocab we have. YA! BO?? Arasso! One thing Im definitely not gonna miss. Knocking my head under the bed. SAKIT GILER! Oh, and lagu cicak kobeng frm kak meal's hp. Sheesh. to think there's actually a cartoon called Cicak Man in Msia. Madness!!
I think the housekeepers got irritated at the how often we changed our towels that on saturday, after they cleaned our rooms, they put up this sign:

And lastly, weird signs in Sarawak. There's more to come after i get the picts frm kak nash!

Dengan penuh semangat nya, TAK NAK! (last pict)

Time to update my long lost un-updated blog. WOHOO!! Im jumping around and cant sit still in my room cuz
1) there's mcmat singing in my laptop and that never fails to get me happy and high
2) Im off to Sarawak tmr! OOH! Damn excited like hell!
The last time I ever went on a family holiday with my cousins was when I was in pri 2. Yeap. That was how 12 years ago. And the last time I went on a holiday with my just my family was when I was pri 5, which was 9 years ago, to Cameron Highlands. Heck. I cant really remember everything.
Went to Mind Cafe yesterday. There were loads of laughter till our stomachs hurt like hell, especially playing that animal games! Baaaaa, Quack Quack, Cock-a-doodle-doo, Ribbit Ribbit and not to forget Hootie Hootie Hootie! Words just cant describe whatever nonsense we did yesterday and I think its right for me to not put it down in words and spoil it..haha..
Anyway a big shoutout to Sya! Congrats for passing ur driving on the first try. Oh yes. Im highly stressed out right now. Khairun and Sya passed on the first try! *gasp and pulls hair* I still don't have a slot right before my driving test, which greatly lowers my already low chance of passing. Hahahahha. Pray for me people. Im gonna be a shameless idiot and bug all of u to pray for me, especially the night before.
People seem to misunderstand every single thing i do these days. Like hello, can u please listen to whatever I say till the end first before judging me or just blocking whatever I say halfway just so u only hear what you want to listen? Oh well. Im not gonna let all these bother me till after I come back frm my holiday! SO LONG PEOPLE LEFT IN SINGAPORE! See ya on the 17th! Im gonna regret this so much that I have driving on the 18th!

Went ice skating at Jurong East with Khairun, Yanni and Shwetha. OH my poor poor feet's hurting. And my butt too! Fell twice. The first time was cuz this kid was skating in my direction (nampak sah bodoh) and when we were abt to crash, he pushed me. Can u believe it? No respect for ur elders. hahha.. the 2nd time was when Khairun, Yanni and I were skating super fast and then for some reason I just fell on my butt and continued skidding.
I wanna ice skate in an open rink, on top of a frozen lake, where there's no idiotic kids running around, and where there's real snow in the air. So magical!!
Shwetha was hanging on to 2 of us at a time for her dear life and she was begging us to skate slower blah blah cuz she was highly unstable. I think that totally cut off blood circulation in my wrist. haha! The highlight of the entire thing was when Khairun and I were on her either side and suddenly I saw a flash of red bang behind shwetha and the 3 of them were lying on the ground, flat on their butts. Should have taken a photo of that!

Till date, I have watched 3 korean shows.
1. My lovely Sam-Soon AKA My name is Kim Sam-Soon
2. Princess Hours
3. A Millionaire's first love
Ive watch my lovely sam soon countless times because Im addicted to the show. Dont ask me why. Yah its true that Hyun Bin is cute and all, but I take back my words. Hyun Bin is only cute as Jin-Heon. Once his hairstyle change, he looks like any typical Korean guys anyway. Aside from that I think the show's really funny and entertaining. The kecohness of everything is a definitely plus point. And Sam-Soon nonchalant way of talking is hilarious.
Princess Hours actually sort of paled in comparison because honestly it had way too much boring parts. Those political stuff happening around the palace was just a tad too boring for me. The show should have focused more on other characters, instead of just introducing abit of their 'story' and then moving on to other, leaving the viewers to decipher stuff to themselves. As much as the scriptwriters enjoy leaving us viewers hanging with suspense, it gets pretty irritating towards the end because you dont really understand the stuff that they just touched-and-go. But yet, its pretty entertaining to watch, especially Chae-Kyung's character, and in the later eps, Shin and Chae-Kyung together. And you could see the characters actually 'grow' and mature throughout the show.
A Millionaire's First love is a sad movie, not series. And the r/ship bwn the guy and the girl wasnt developed properly throughout the show.. blah blah blah.. Quite confusing for a while when they got together, and again, the plot wasnt really developed fully for the characters. But in the end, you get the gist. And yeap, another tear-jerker.
I don't know why I keep watching these shows. Even though they have the cliche storylines. Guy A n B likes Girl A. Girl B likes Guy B. Guy C likes Girl B. Blah blah.. in the end Guy A gets Girl A, Guy B goes back to his original girl-friend, Guy C gets a new gf or something. And some drama-mama stuff happening in the middle. OR somehow Girl A dies so Guy A and B grieves. And everybody's heart broken. Boo hoo.
But yet I still continue watching these shows. I guess Im a sucker for these kind of story lines. As much as I hate cliche endings, Im an optimist so I go for a happy ending anytime, unless the girl dies, and then I go for the damn sad endings that make me bawl like a baby in front of the tv or my laptop. And then like an idiot Ill go and find some other sad shows for me to continue crying till my tear ducts are dried and my head hurts frm crying too much.
NEXT KOREAN SHOW? Kak Nash/Kak Tea! Nak pinjam Full House????

Somebody should get married at the Fullerton and invite us. That hotel is so goddamn gorgeous man! Even better than Ritz Carlton. Okay granted the rooms of Ritz are much more grand than Fullerton but who the hell cares. My sister had her TJ grad nite there yesterday and they had a room for them to siap2 and make up and pray etc. I miss all the hassle of grad nite man! And the 10 of us being super kecoh in Pan Pacific hotel. Check out the room!

After checking in, we prayed zuhur and went to Caltex House to find a hair salon to style my sister's hair. The hair dresser was soo nice to us, unlike the first one that attended to us. That girl was just plain rude. Anyway she was surprised when we told her our ages cuz we looked younger than 18 and 20.
The end product of cut, wash, blow and styling plus straightening irons and glitter for $32 at Rapunzel Hair Salon.

All ready for Grad Nite'06, but without make up yet. That dress was sewn by my ultra talented mom. She couldnt stop admiring herself in the mirror.hahaha! Yelah tu, JAMBU!

Went to the airport after that to meet Sya and N2f. I like the christmas trees at the airport! They have alot of blue decorations. NICE!

They even come in different sizes! Papa Tree, Mama Tree and Baby Tree!

One of the baubles at the tree! Lovely butterfly!
