Human torch!! cute guy..hahhha!
I never really expected myself to enjoy myself at the camp. True, it was tiring, but in all, the camp still had its load of fun and joy. We were totally impressed with the whole Ad-hoc committee for this. They looked so cool, yet everything went smoothly throughout the entire camp. Our meals were like "buka puasa at masjid style". read: a few of us sharing a tray full of rice and respective side dishes. The thing with muslim camps, we din have to worry about solatm, since they allocate time for solat. For almost all the praying time, we got to pray jemaah. And again, i admire the guys who could azan very well, and that they can recite surahs offhand and sounding very pro. At one pt of the camp, there was the night walk in the nature park, and one of the tasks at the station was to go to a tree with a green light stick and read and memorise the meaning of the surah. "The ones who spend(in God's name) in prosperity and adversity, and who repress anger, and who pardon the people; God loves the good doers."-Ali Imran:134. Each of our surahs seems to like affect us individually.. For some reason, i felt guilty for alot of things ive done, okay..taken literally, i kept thinking of the money i kept wasting. all the gossip sessions and always my outburst of anger.. Our camp ended with the song Doa Perpisahan, which tugged almost all of our heart strings.
This is the point where we noticed there was MAJOR waterworks in the function hall. I really cant stand seeing people crying..First i saw diana, and then sya,cuz she cant stand seeing ppl cry. I tried! really! couldnt stop myself. And, some of the guys were actually crying. For some reason, it wasnt sissy but more like a touching scene. It was a real meaningful and lovely song, and especially after watching a snippet of our camp vcd, all memories of the things we did throughout the camp just rushed through my head. Its not that we wont see these people again, but its more like the fact that we went thru everyting together, as a team and all, that would be our fond memories of this camp. Its unlikely that i would forget such a wonderful event, and to my team, Pirates: sya hafie khairun fiza nuda syaz diana yanto faris and aizad, thanks for being part of this.
Sometimes, we take friends for granted and never realise their worth till they're gone. Making new friends has never been easy and im grateful that I have sya khairun and hafie around. Love u guys. This camp has really taught me how to appreciate everything around me and push myself beyond what i think i can. ANd yeah, not taking things for granted.
This part reminds me of when the guy taught us "senyum tiga" and the "salam mesra" (1.assalamualaikum. 2.apa khabar? 3.sihat?).. Seems like every line of this song has something that reminds me of the camp. Perpisahan has never been easy, but this is one of the most difficult ones Ive ever gone thru.. After the entire camp, I feel like ive done so many mistakes in my life and i have no idea whether those can be forgiven or not.. Dont ask me why. Dont know why i feel that way. So much for my 'passive' uni life. Ill probably end up joining the MS cuz of this camp.
