Just finished baking cornflakes macaroon and honey cornflakes. I realise that the honey cornflakes has sooo many different names :honey crackle, honey cornflakes, honeypot..blah blah. but they all look and seem to taste the same anyway. Whatever you call it, it just gives u a sugar rush when you eat it, not to mention blocked arteries if you continue eating it for the next 1484682346 years. My cornflakes never turn out like Ili's or the one we ate during raya at n2f's hse. How come mine are too greasy?? oh well. We learn from mistakes. Talking about mistakes. I should have trusted my baking instincts. The recipe stated "bake at 160 degrees celcius for 10-12 mins". At 5 mins, I was about to take the honey cornflakes but i realise it wasnt time yet. So i left it in the oven for an additional 5 mins. I came back and ta-da! The golden honey cornflakes were brown!! and burnt! As if being burnt wasnt bad enough. They HAD to taste bitter. I wanted to throw them away, but my father said he wanted them. My poor dad, he had to eat all my poorly baked goodies.

I want coloured streaks in MY hair but my mom wont allow it. She'll think I joined some gangster group Ill bet. Oh! And Lee. ahah.. The only line that he sings is "im irresistable". yeap yeap he is. Ive gotten my first ever NINE WEST pair of shoes!!!! A great start to my shoes collection. Oh my goodness. I cant breathe. Wakhakhakha!!! Its such a high getting my first pair of branded heels. Original price - $155. I bought it for $39. I couldnt find a good photo of this pair online because they all come with grey pearls. Mine's nicer. Ivory pearls! The picture seriously doesnt do it any justice.
Im here, parading around my room in my 3.5 inch heels, sized 8 Nina West Daisha black/ivory heels. More like tried to walk gracefully but just end up swirling around my chair. Its hard to walk around in 3.5 inch heels! OOH!! I cant stop staring at them! My mom said they are gorgeous. Even my sister said so. And my entire family's going to the nine west sale tmr. wohoo!

I've finally finished reading "Kite Runner" this morning at 2am. I would have finished reading it earlier if not for the tears that blurred my vision so badly that I had to put down the book and then I woke up today with swollen eyes and a headache. Thats what crying does to me. As much as the book made me very depressed and reflective, (im a sucker for tear jerkers) Im on a quest to look for more tear jerkers, be it movies or books. Its the start of a vicious cycle. Once I read about sad stuff, Im even more enticed by all the sad stuff and wanna read or watch more sad stuff, which will even make me sadder. oh gosh..ramble ramble ramble..

Im not gonna give this book any review because it will not do it any justice. You've just gotta read it. I went to search for best sellers paperback list the other day. Ive gotten 3 highly recommended books here though I haven't read them but the reviews sound pretty promising.

Listening to Cikgu Zubir Abdullah's cd right now. Okay, Ive gotta admit. He's really talented. Every malay music lesson always gives me a rush of adrenaline and esctasy. heh. like for last week, it was the rebana! (WOHOO!!)which he played super effortlessly! NICE! For this week, its a bit nonsensical but i dont care. He was introducing the different types of malay music and guess wad came up under classical? Mak Yong! U could imagine how excited i got just because i heard the name! Smile plastered over my face every single time i heard him say Mak Yong. Padahal its not even the dikir group.

Like Sya said, he's like a jack of all trades and master of all of them too! He can sing and play all sorts of instruments well. He was playing the gambus today, which is an extremely hard instrument to play. Its like a lute or guitar, without the frets and you play nicely based on experience and sound u hear. For me and sya, jangan harap we can play the gambus anytime in the near future. Guitar pun tak pass. Khairun possibly has a brighter future than us.

Malay music is definitely darn interesting. Oh today we learnt to play the kompang. So this is the 3rd person to teach us kompang, and yeap, its slightly different from what other ppl taught us. But who cares, they all sound the same. Oooh! Now the sounds finally have a name. Like for kompang, the lentong is what we call "bing" and cherang is what we call 'pak'. And therefore pak pak bing bing! Currently listening to 'Zapin Perpaduan'. It sounds soo much like lagu hari raya! Suddenly im all excited for raya! chheyy..belum puasa nak raya.

oh my woes of school. school sucks! and i need a new brain transplant! seriously! oh POOR ME!

1) the stupid Studies in Malay music isnt added to STARS yet. how how how? we cant do anything because its an NIE module and its supposed to be added in by our course coordinator
2)i sorta did some mumbo-jumbo to my ankle while playing badminton yesterday. I thought it was okay until now. i now have a cankle instead of left ankle.
3) i give up doing Fluids tutorial! So much for the 'easy' qn. Cant do it. Its not easy for slow-and-unable-to-visualise-people-like-me. I feel soo liberated now.
4)I give up doing my thermo tutorial. dumb dumb dumb. My answers are sooo far from the correct answers. and i cant rmbr last sem's work. well done.

im swirling around in my chair and blogging instead of socialising with sya and n2f or pack my bag for tmr or even read my notes that dont make any sense.This is only coming to the 3rd week of sch for goodness sake. Well..at least i feel much better now that i have given up trying to do my undoable tutorials and that khairun couldnt do as well. Yay! at least there's one more soul in the world who's at least half as lost as me.

In my unusual reflective mood today, and I seem to recall this particular quote from The Lake House. Correct me if im wrong, at least i think its from the Lake House. And I cant find the correct quote. I think she said something about this girl who doesn't commit herself to a guy because she believes there's a special someone out there waiting for her to come along. But what if there is nobody waiting for you? What if you may have just let your that special person go in your quest of finding the one. Am I making sense? I tend to ramble when Im talking hypothetically.

I find that quote really heartbreaking and to be in that situation. The agony of disappointment and the heartbreak and the regret that a person has to go through would be just too painful for me to endure. As you know, im extremely pain-o-phobic and my threshold for pain is negative. Im not talking specifically about love and relationship here. Okay yes. About love. My longing for those darn shoes. In my attempt to write a reflective entry here, Ive lost my train of thought. I swear my attention span is getting shorter these days.

Yeap so Ive got my share of agony. Talk about stupidity. Those red shoes are gone forever. Everybody seems to be telling me maybe there would be something better coming along. BUT what if they were THE ONE? Those silver heels were definitely another catch. yeap yeap..takde rezeki. Thanks sya for offering to go and buy them for me tmr but I dun like making ppl do things for me, especially when its not on their way. I'll feel incredibly selfish and ugly inside out. and i already have a personality complex. yep mental disorder. aha. Okay how in the world did an almost emo entry turn to a completely bimbotic one??

I knew I was gonna regret it. I absolutely knew it. Even Sya said so. Blah! I really should have bought those damn shoes. The red ones. Then I could have my first pair of branded sandals. A great start to my Nina shoes. I loved the Nine West warehouse sale! The shoes were freaking nice!! How i wish i dressed up so I could buy and wear those ridiculous looking impractical sandals. Carrie Bradshaw would have done that, why shouldn't I?

OOH!! FIREWORKS ROX!! I love fireworks. They even had better gimmicks today. Like this particular gold dust thingy that appeared out of nowhere! And those that branch out from each branch of the fireworks! gorgeous! And my all time favs! The pink starry ones which stay twinkling in the sky like fairy lights, and the gold glitter dust thingy. I loved the ending! The fireworks just kept popping and coming! How come there werent that many blue fireworks? Or even purple ones? Its just gold, and pink/red and a bit of green. The starting was green.. so HAFIE! you missed out on green fireworks.

ahh! darn blogger! din update my blog. sheesh.. anyway im soo excited! ive finished my 100 levels game! more like 102 levels! super fun! okay, granted i took my own sweet time doing it (a grand total of 6 days,while sya took 3 days) There's just this sense of accomplishment! wow! cheyy.. And you actually learn quite alot of things frm the puzzles, and plus, searching and extracting info from google. thats a skill man! And thanks to sya for helping me out on 3 of the most difficult and tedious levels. i dunno how you did it without going bonkers. oh wait. you DID go bonkers. yay!! soo fun! and thanks to my sis for identifying the knot. NPCC had its use!

Oh! i spent a total of $7.50 on nail polish only today. aha! couldnt resist it. i have to get something for the faceshop everytime i go in. i love the colour! my mom said it made me look like 'budak jahat' becuase only budak jahat wear tt kind of colour aka goth aka rebellious. well! those pastel thingy arent my thing. Everytime i go out with her, and she points out a pink thing to me, ill make a face. She asked me "How come you dont like pink anymore? you used to love pink." Well! the pink stuff she pointed out were.. erm, not very pleasing to the eye and mind.

okay side note here. i do not hate my mom. or bear any grudges. its too tiring to do that. I just rant whatever im feeling here to keep me the happy person all you people know. ill forget my anger the moment i click the publish post button.

i cant wait to watch fireworks tmr! gonna keep me smiling all night long!

School was a complete waste of time, and outfit. and money. sheesh! we only sat in for a freaking 2 minute lecture. yeap. thats all for today. I should have just stayed at home, and played the levels games that sya had me addicted to instead of bothering to go to school. And NTU was super packed with people! I think if i stayed any longer in the north spine, i would have asphyxiated! chey. big word there..

To think that I actually bothered to put on something nice, instead of my usual selekeh tee and jeans on account that its the first day of school. Its a good thing I didnt apply make up then. It would have been a waste of make up, in addition to my time, outfit and money and food and energy. Thats a huge sign I should never bother to dress up to school. Stick to my fail-proof school 'uniform'.

Back from the Viva La Anugerah thingy at Changi Haven. its actually a pretty nice place. No.. strike that off. A very nice place. And has a very nice view.. But it took forever to get there! I think i aged 10 years just going to and fro.Its pretty amazing how much you get (in return) when ur reluctant to go for something.

Okay firstly i was pretty reluctant to go for it because me and sya would be the only non-NUS ppl among everybody and we absolutely didnt know like 99.999% of the people that came anyway and we would feel pretty extra melebih in everything. And plus, my mom had to ground me (like restricting my sleeptime and computer time isnt bad enough). Getting her permission to go for this thing wasnt even hard. She actually allowed me to go for it.

Anyway we had quite a no of stuff today. Got some cert of appreciation (green colour!! hafie n nat got pink ones.hah!), some dikir photo collage thats really really nice, 2 muffins from famous amos!(i love the person who gave that! and whoever got my gift.. haha! a huge bar of toblerone okay!) ooh! i won first prize in the lucky draw! im nvr that lucky to begin with so i was really surprised i won.. nuthing very interesting but a door sign which said "Genius at work! Do not disturb!" Hafie said i should put it at my door at all times so that my mom doesnt bug me to sleep. If only my family practice 'closed door' policy. That would have been perfect!

Anyway food was great, it was pretty fun overall and getting all the gifts (im a sucker for gifts and great food. what can i say?) At least we didnt get bored during the thing and thats a good sign. aha. My cards didnt have any use except at the bus stop, when me and sya played with haikal while waiting for nat yang tak tiba2 and we gave up waiting even though she told us not to wait (yeap..we are such slengerly nice ppl)
Anger management starting in 10 mins. just enuf time to bath and pray.no time to play the game! bleahhh

Sentosa Outing!!

First up! Our excitement at taking the cable car. We could hardly contain our excitement especially for the first timers aka Sya and Mash. Much to our disappointment, it wasnt scary at all, unlike what all those scaredy-cats in the world perceived the cable cars to be. The person even asked us if the colour of the cable car (PINK) was okay or not. aha! of course it was! it totally matched mash and khairun and THE ball.
[for some stupid reason, my laptop decided to reboot itself while i was transferring photos from my SD card to my folder, and therefore 3 pictures were moved from the SD card to thin air. rotten laptop! sorry sya and mash! your excited faces, GONE! our picture in the lift up the cable car tower, GONE!]

Anyway we arrived at palawan beach before the rest of the girls (n2f zub and liana) who took the bus so khairun and mash started eating the food they bought from banquet first and me and sya were much contented with lays sour cream and onions chips.

Then it started raining the moment n2f started singing. N2f!! hmmph! So we had to scuttle to the nearest shelter which was the food court, and had our lunch with our picnic food (so technically we din really have a picnic today) and played card games for almost an hr before the rain subsided.

Then we went to play "Monkey" with my extremely bright pink bouncy ball, and then attempted to play soccer but we din even start. Sya and Khairun were extremely enticed by the cool water!

We were embarking on a journey to the Southernmost Point of Asia Continent. Which is coincidentally the point nearest the the equator. With only our brains and physical strength, (one of us was barefoot too!), we went on this highly dangerous journey! This was where it all began.

We had to cross the trecherous bridge that was above water filled with many creatures of the unknown, both visible and invisible to the eyes. Still, our explorers trudged on with pure optimism and unfazed by the danger that lay ahead of them.

They were sooo tired of climbing up the tower at the Southernmost Point of the Asia Continent that they could barely muster a smile.

Still! They used every ounce of energy they had left to smile courageously for the camera for future reference of their exploration.

the two explorers saw something through the magical telescope which required a golden magic key to work. But what did they see?

By the far end of the ocean, 4 people were playing some sort of game, involving an inverted plate-like object. And these 4 people, we have learnt, were called Khairun, Liana, Mash and N2f.

Back to civilisation. It was truly hotter than usual at the Southernmost Point of the Asia Continent. It was hot. Our canteen had sprung a leak, and we were thirsty. This explorer was so grateful for the existance of coconut tree where u can get the coconut juice. *self explanatory*

Zub finally got her Mr Right and she refused to let him go. We had to drag her away from him when we were abt to leave. siggghh

Im soo tanned and hitam berlegam and sunburnt tt my face hurts and i have natural blush and my eyes are so dry that they are itchy and i have abrasion on the side of my right foot because of that stupid sandals and i have ugly tan lines but if i were to rewind time, I would still go through everything again. shall update more once i get the pictures from sya then. i love our jumping shots!
